Taker

The ‘Taker’ folder is a dedicated directory that contains logs related to the Connectors configured in the XCore. These logs are essential for tracking, auditing, and understanding data flow and transactions.

Types of Logs and Overview

Within the ‘Taker’ folder, logs are categorized based on their function:

  • Stream Logs: These capture real-time data streams for the takers. The format of a typical stream log entry will vary depending on the connector type:

    • MT4 Connector
    • MT5 Connector
    • FIX Connector
    • XC Connector
  • Trade Logs: These record trade-related activities for the takers. The format will differ based on the connector:

    • MT4 Connector
    • MT5 Connector
    • FIX Connector

Accessing the Logs

To access the logs:

  • Open the Log Viewer component.
  • Select the ‘Taker’ folder from the directory list.
  • Choose your preferred Connector.
  • Select either ‘Stream Logs’ or ‘Trade Logs’ based on your requirement.

Tips for Efficient Log Analysis

  • Use the filter function to quickly find specific entries.
  • Depending on the connector type, the log format and details might vary. Familiarize yourself with the specific format for accurate analysis.
  • If you encounter unfamiliar tags or other connector-specific codes, refer to the respective documentation or dictionaries.
  • For MT4, MT5, and XC connectors, the stream log entries follow a standardized structure where the first character denotes the side (Bid or Ask) and the second character denotes the type of update:

    Character Description
    IR Incremental refresh
    FR Full Refresh
    B Bid
    A Ask
    C Cancel
U Update of size and price
    P Update of price
    S Update of size

For example:

  1. BU — Bid update of size and price
  2. AS — Ask update of size
  3. AP — Ask update of price
  4. BC — Bid cancel
