IMPORTANT: May 13th, 2025 – Upcoming Change: XCore Historical Log Compression Switching to zstd (.zst)
2025-05-13
Starting from May 14, 2025, on our Demo systems, and gradually rolling out to Live systems starting May 17, 2025, we will be transitioning from the older ZIP format to the more modern Zstandard (zstd) compression algorithm for historical log files.
This change is being implemented to improve performance. Zstandard offers significantly faster decompression speeds compared to the traditional ZIP format, which will allow you to access your historical log data more quickly and efficiently.
You will notice that new log files will have the .zst file extension instead of .zip.
For users accessing these files on Windows, please note that decompressing .zst files typically requires third-party software, as Windows does not support this format natively.
For information on how to decompress .zst files on Windows and a list of compatible tools, please visit: Decompressing .zst files in Windows
May 7th, 2025 – Margin Account Charges & Billing
2025-05-07
Dear Clients,
We hope this message finds you well. Following our April 1, 2025, announcement regarding the new pricing structure, we’ve noticed that many clients have not yet unlinked or disabled unused connector or provider-side margin accounts, as recommended.
To avoid unnecessary charges on your April invoice, we strongly urge you to review and disable any unneeded margin accounts by the end of the week of May 17, 2025. If you take action by this deadline and contact us to confirm the adjustments, we will waive the margin-related fees for your April invoice. However, if these accounts remain active after May 17, 2025, the associated fees will be applied.
Please reach out to our support team at your earliest convenience to rectify these configurations or if you need assistance. You can contact us in Microsoft Teams.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter and for your continued partnership with PrimeXM.
May 2nd, 2025 – MT4 Bridge Update (v9.26)
2025-05-02
Dear Clients,
We’ve implemented a critical safeguard in XCore to protect brokers from catastrophic failures that can threaten business continuity.
New Parameter: max_executing_entry_requests (default: 10)
This limit controls the number of simultaneous entry order requests per login, symbol, and side. It is specifically designed to prevent extreme scenarios — such as a faulty plugin triggering an uncontrolled loop — that could result in thousands of unintended orders.
Without this safeguard, such behavior can severely disrupt trading operations and, in extreme cases, put a broker out of business.
More information is available here: PrimeXM MT4 Bridge
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact PrimeXM Support.
April 23rd, 2025 – Migration of XCore to XCore connections from PRIMEXM_FIX44 type to PRIMEXM_XC
2025-04-23
Dear Clients,
Please be informed that starting this coming weekend (26–27th April 2025), we will gradually begin migrating all live XCore to XCore connections, both taker and maker, from the current PRIMEXM_FIX44 type to PRIMEXM_XC.
This transition is part of our ongoing efforts to optimize performance. While both protocols are identical in terms of trading functionality, PrimeXM_XC uses a binary format that is significantly more efficient for pricing compared to FIX.
The migration will be handled by our team to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.

February 24th, 2025 – MT5 Restart - GW Enable/Disable Required
2025-02-24
Dear Clients,
After restarting the MT5 servers, it is important to disable and then re-enable the Gateway (GW) once the restart is complete. This is necessary due to an issue where the history server does not immediately initialize all symbols after a restart, which can result in a “route not found” error in the GW. This error may lead to trade rejections. Disabling and re-enabling the GW after the restart helps to mitigate this issue and ensure smooth trading operations. This is a temporary fix while we work on a permanent resolution. We recommend following this procedure after every server restart to avoid potential disruptions.
If you require further assistance, please contact our support team.
January 23rd, 2025 – Important Update: New Pricing Structure Effective April 1, 2025
2025-01-23
Dear Clients,
Effective April 1, 2025 , we will implement our new pricing structure. For a detailed description of the updated pricing, please visit our website:
https://primexm.com/xcore/pricing-new/
The motivation behind this new pricing structure is to ensure that the invoiced amounts more accurately reflect the resources consumed and the features utilized by each client. This resource-based approach enables a more balanced and precise allocation of costs, ensuring fairness across the board while maintaining our commitment to competitive pricing. Key changes include:
Connectivity Fees:
Although connectivity fees may initially seem higher, they are now more competitive for most clients. We will now charge only the greater of maker or taker fees, rather than the combined total.
Volume Fees:
We have introduced a new fee for XCore margin accounts, which in turn enables us to be more competitive in other areas. This adjustment has allowed us to:
- Offer more aggressive volume discounts (see the chart below for a detailed comparison of old and new volume discounts).
- Reduce pricing for XCore-to-XCore volumes by allowing them to benefit from volume discount levels.
- Substantially reduce pricing for crypto through a combination of halving B-book crypto fees and enabling both A-book and B-book crypto fees to benefit from volume discount levels.
Transaction Fees:
We have introduced a new transaction fee, carefully designed to avoid impacting most of our clients. Its purpose is to ensure a reasonable level of income for processing, particularly in cases where specific clients generate large amounts of micro-tickets.
To avoid unnecessary charges, we recommend that clients unlink and disable any connector or provider-side margin accounts that are no longer required. During the billing periods of January, February, and March, we will provide clients with a detailed breakdown of charges under the new pricing structure. This will allow for a clearer understanding of the impact of these changes and facilitate any necessary adjustments to your configuration.
We appreciate your continued trust in PrimeXM and remain committed to providing you with the best service and value.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

December 20th, 2024 – PrimeXM Analytics: Trade Decay_v4
2024-12-20
In XCore v.6.01.xx+ we have updated Trade_Decay_V2 to Trade_Decay_v4
The trade_decay_v4 table provides highly granular trade analysis by recording incremental bid and ask prices for each order leg at fixed time intervals, up to 300 seconds. This enhances visibility into how orders decay over time.
By cross-referencing this data with trade execution data from order, leg, and deal tables, users can analyze liquidity provider (LP) performance, detect toxic client behavior, and evaluate execution flows across A-book and B-book.
Visit the PrimeXM Analytics portal which contains curated dashboards such as Market Share, Trade Decay Curve, Top 20 Toxic and Profitable logins filtered by Date, symbol, Taker (Connector), Maker (Liquidity Provider) trade flow type (A-book or B-book) and order side (Buy / Sell).
The Analytics portal has since been retired. See the New Reporting Portal documentation.

November 29th, 2024 – Important Reminder: symbol.max_markup and symbol.min_markup
2024-11-29
Dear Client,
We would like to draw your attention to the newly introduced attributes in XCore versions 6.00.00+: symbol.max_markup and symbol.min_markup.
These settings establish system-wide limits on the total markup and markdown that can be applied to each symbol, overriding your existing Markup Profile settings if those exceed the defined limits.
Please Note: Not all clients have been fully migrated to the latest XCore 6 version. Whether you have already updated or are scheduled to update soon, understanding these new settings is essential to maintain your desired pricing configuration
Why This Matters:
- Potential Impact on Pricing: If these limits are not properly configured, your intended markups or markdowns may not be fully applied due to the caps enforced by
symbol.max_markupandsymbol.min_markup.
This could affect your pricing and markup earnings.
Action Required:
- Review Your Symbol Markup Limits:
- Verify Settings: Please check the
symbol.max_markupand symbol.min_markup values for each of your trading symbols. - Adjust if Necessary: Ensure these limits align with your intended markups and markdowns. Adjust them as needed to prevent any unintended pricing limitations.
- Verify Settings: Please check the
- Set Up Alerts for Limit Breaches:
- Use Alert Module: We recommend setting up alerts using the Alert Module to notify you if the applied markups or markdowns exceed the defined limits.
- Keywords to Monitor: Configure your alerts to monitor for the keywords MAX_MARKUP_LIMIT and MIN_MARKUP_LIMIT.
- Please Note:
- For markup_type set to price_unit: The system will generate alerts when limits are breached upon configuration.
- For markup_type set to basis_point: Warnings will only appear in the system.log after a restart. Therefore, extra caution is advised when configuring markups using basis_point.
- Ensure Team Awareness:
- Inform Your Team: Please make sure that your technical and trading teams are aware of these settings and their implications.
For detailed information on these settings and how to configure them, please visit the Symbol page on our Help Center.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please reach out to our support team in Microsoft Teams or at support@primexm.com

October 10th, 2024 – XCore v.5.77.50 Update: Migration from LiquidityProfile to MarkupProfile
2024-10-10
Starting from XCore v.5.77.50, the LiquidityProfile has been replaced by the enhanced MarkupProfile, bringing changes to how markups, spreads, and symbol settings are applied.
Key Changes:
- Automatic Migration : When updated to XCore v.5.77.50 or later, existing LiquidityProfileSettings will automatically migrate to MarkupProfileSettings
- Markups and Spreads in Units: Markups (
bid/ask) and spread boundaries (spread_min/spread_max) are now specified in units based on the symbol’sprice_unit, rather than decimals. This improves precision across instruments. - Introduction of
byandkeyFields: The newbyfield can be set to either symbol (sym) or security (sec), while thekeyfield determines the specific symbol or security. This configuration approach is gradually being rolled out across allconfig_settingtables and is already in use in settings like TradeLock. - Updated Precision Settings: Existing settings have been renamed (MINUS_1, PLUS_1, PLUS_2), and new options (MINUS_2 and PLUS_3) have been introduced for finer control over rounding.
Action Required :
- The LiquidityProfile will be automatically migrated to MarkupProfile and will be specified in units based on the symbol’s
price_unitinstead of decimals. - The Config Automation Component rules that target LiquidityProfile will be automatically migrated to target MarkupProfile and will be specified in units based on the symbol’s
price_unitinstead of decimals. -
While this change and migration have been thoroughly tested, it is crucial to take note of the update and alert PrimeXM immediately if you encounter any markup-related issues after the XCore update.
Example:
For EURUSD, where the price_unit is set to 0.00001 in the Symbol table:
- A
bidmarkup of -5 for EURUSD in the MarkupProfileSettings now subtracts 5 points (0.00005) from the bid price. This reflects the change from specifying markups in decimals to using the symbol’s unit.
Next Steps:
- Testing Environment: XCore v.5.77.50+ is currently available on the demo environment, allowing you to test these changes before live deployment.
- Before your XCore is updated, ensure your internal Technical and Trading teams are aware of this notification.
- After your XCore is updated : Monitor for any issues, especially around the Key changes at Market Open, escalating any issue to PrimeXM immediately.
- Support: If you have any questions or need assistance, please reach out to our support team in Microsoft Teams or at support@primexm.com.
