1. Securities

In the XCore, symbols are utilized to define and configure financial products, and they are uniquely identified and grouped into securities. Securities refer to the type of symbols such as FX, CFD, Crypto, Stocks, Futures, etc. and a grouping of symbols that can be configured together.
More information on Securities can be found here.

2. Symbol

A security's type and any security rules in other features apply to all symbols under that security. The Symbol component contains all the trading instruments defined in the XCore, and each symbol’s settings can be configured in this component. Symbols are assigned to a single security, whose type sets type-specific rules for them; features that support security rules can apply them to all its symbols.

More information on Symbols can be found here.

3. Providers

XCore’s Provider component facilitates connections with liquidity providers to receive price feeds and execute trades. With a broad range of integrated connections, XCore makes it convenient for users to connect directly with tier one liquidity providers, exchanges, data vendors, and other XCores.

Users can configure specific settings for each provider on a per-symbol basis using the Provider settings. This includes mapping XCore symbols with provider specifications, adding pre-aggregation markups, and adjusting the minimum trade size for each provider.

More information on Providers can be found here.

4. Liquidity Pools

XCore allows users to create an unlimited number of pools, referred to as Liquidity Pools. These pools define the participants, in terms of Providers, for both price sourcing and trade execution. Liquidity Pools may consist of one or multiple Providers. When there are multiple providers, the pool becomes an aggregated pool where multiple prices are being combined. The settings for these pools are configured on a per symbol basis.

More information on Liquidity pools can be found here.

5. Markup Profiles

MarkupProfile defines markup and spread settings for pricing and execution, with per-symbol settings in MarkupProfileSetting.

6. Connectors

Connectors in the XCore represent liquidity takers. They can be in the form of MT4, MT5, or any FIX-compliant platform, or through a direct FIX API. XCore owners have the ability to manage and configure the pricing and trading aspects of the takers through different connector-related components. The structure of a connector includes a connection configuration for the connection details, one or more connector accounts with specific settings for trading configuration, and one or more connector streams with their own settings for pricing configuration.

More information on Connectors can be found here.

7. Connector Streams

The Connector Stream Component is an integral part of each connector. It allows the creation of various pricing streams, known as “Connector Streams”, which are responsible for sending quote updates to clients and taker platforms. Each Connector Stream comes with its own unique settings, which can be customized down to individual symbols, offering tailored control over pricing.

More information on Connector Streams can be found here.

8. Connector Accounts

The Connector Account component encompasses the trading accounts set up within each system connector. Each of these accounts incorporates a suite of customizable execution settings designed specifically for the Connector. The system allows for multiple accounts per Connector, each equipped with a distinct set of execution settings. Moreover, these settings offer a highly tailored configuration experience, with the ability to define execution parameters down to the level of individual symbols.

More information on Connector Accounts can be found here.

9. Accounts

Accounts track positions and apply the checks configured for their account type. The four types are MARGIN, NOP, RISK and POSITION, selected through the account group. POSITION accounts track positions without imposing trading limits.

More information on Accounts can be found here.

10. Account groups

The Account Group Component presents predefined account groups, enabling their creation and deletion. It simplifies new account setup by preloading profile settings. Linked with a specific XCore account, it helps select account profiles and manage configurations like swap profiles, leverage, and underflow. Each account group type dictates its purpose and rules, with options to set deposit currency and margin alert levels individually.

More information on Account Groups can be found here.

12. Log Viewer

The log viewer component gives XCore users full access to logs containing essential information for investigating connectivity, pricing, and trading issues. Users can filter and highlight specific lines in the logs and view current daily logs live. Historical logs can be downloaded to the user’s machine for further investigation.

More information on the Log Viewer can be found here.
