System
System contains XCore system information and can define over which connectors trades can be copied or cross hedged. System has the following attributes and can be accessed via pending config or real-time config:
| attributes | required | default settings | attribute type | description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| core | Y | – | VARCHAR | The name of the XCore instance. It must match the name the engine is started with; it is set by PrimeXM and is not a customer-editable setting. |
| timezone | Y | America/New_York | VARCHAR | The configured system timezone for provider-stream and connector symbol sessions. A valid timezone is required; America/New_York is a configuration convention, not a fallback for empty or invalid values. Connection-specific timezones can be separate.Note: Refer to the Etc/GMT offset clarification below. |
| version | Y | – | VARCHAR | The build number of the XCore, maintained automatically by the engine at startup. Read-only. |
| trade_copy | N | – | VARCHAR | Defines the Connector | ConnectorAccount_name used for trade-copy execution, or n/a when unassigned. The global target account’s symbol settings must use b_book = 0. This field does not require the account’s broker flag to be enabled. It is required at startup when any ConnectorAccountSetting uses b_book below 0 or above 1, and the target account must then have a symbol setting for each copied symbol. If no account of the target connector matches the name exactly and the connector has a single account, that account is used, so check the account part of the address carefully. |
| xhedge | N | – | VARCHAR | Defines the default Connector | ConnectorAccount_name used for cross-hedge execution, or n/a when unassigned. The global target account’s symbol settings must use b_book = 0; configured source-account overrides can take precedence. This field does not require the account’s broker flag to be enabled. It is required at startup whenever any connector account has an xHedge profile assigned, even if that account has its own override. If no account of the target connector matches the name exactly and the connector has a single account, that account is used, so check the account part of the address carefully. |
| synthetics | N | – | VARCHAR | Defines the default Connector | ConnectorAccount_name for synthetic hedging. Can be overridden per provider via syn_hedge_account in ProviderConfigSetting. Use n/a, not an empty value, when unassigned; the account must have symbol settings for the source symbols. Its symbol settings must use b_book = 0. If no account of the target connector matches the name exactly and the connector has a single account, that account is used, so check the account part of the address carefully. |
Etc/GMT Timezone Offsets
When configuring the timezone attribute, it’s important to note how the Etc/GMT format works:
Etc/GMT+Xrepresents X hours behind UTC (Coordinated Universal Time).- Example:
Etc/GMT+3means the system is set to 3 hours behind UTC.
- Example:
Etc/GMT-Xrepresents X hours ahead of UTC.- Example:
Etc/GMT-3means the system is set to 3 hours ahead of UTC.
- Example:
This naming follows a standard used in many systems where the signs (+ and -) might seem reversed at first glance:
+in the name actually means the time is behind UTC.-in the name means the time is ahead of UTC.
For example:
Etc/GMT+3: 3 hours behind UTC.Etc/GMT-3: 3 hours ahead of UTC.
When setting the timezone, ensure the correct offset is applied.
